Leadership
Colorado Dream Hunts is managed and overseen by its Volunteer Board of Directors.
Spencer Nicholl
Spencer was born and raised in Colorado and started hunting with his dad at an early age. He has guided big game hunts in both Colorado and Alaska. He lives near Gunnison, CO with his wife Annette where they operate a non-profit ministry. Together they have hosted over a dozen disabled youth hunts over the years.
His favorite part of helping youth hunters is seeing the smile that only a dream hunt can bring to their faces. His favorite hunts include archery, elk hunting and mule deer. His favorite wild game to eat is elk tenderloins followed by strawberry/rhubarb pie!
Janel Green, CPA, CGMA
Janel Green serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of Colorado Dream Hunts and is a member of its Board of Directors. Janel grew up in Western Colorado and shared a love for the outdoors and hunting with her dad from a young age until high school. Janel was able to rekindle her love for hunting when she met her future husband John, an avid outdoorsman. With John, Janel has been able to share many hunting adventures together and pay it forward to family, friends and to the next generation of friends. It has been through these experiences that Janel sees how hunting has helped young people love the outdoors, develop communication and problem-solving skills and to persevere through challenges and struggles. Janel is honored to be part of Colorado Dream Hunts as it gives young people that may never have a chance to hunt otherwise the opportunity to do just that. Janel enjoys hunting turkey in the spring, elk during archery season and mule deer during the rut. Janel welcomes the opportunity to cook with wild game, with her favorite meal being backstrap/tenderloin cooked in a cast iron skillet with butter, served with roasted potatoes and asparagus and enjoying peanut butter pie for dessert.
Professionally speaking, Janel has been an accounting and finance professional for over 20 years. She currently engages in freelance work that complements her realm of knowledge including being the CFO for a family office and their related businesses. Janel and her husband John currently live on the Grand Mesa in Western Colorado with their Jack Russell Terrier, Jack.
